I am an alumni of Hunstville High School, Class of 2010!
I graduated from the University of Arkansas in May of 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Literature and a Minor in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. I completed the hours for my minor during a Study Abroad session to England.
I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching in May of 2018.
I began working at Hunstville School District at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year.
This year I will be working full-time at Huntsville High School teaching Ninth & Tenth grade English and Ninth Grade AP-Prep.
This will be my third year teaching. Over the past two years I’ve taught Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, and Eleventh grade English, as well as Ninth Grade Keystone.
Before embarking on this adventure of a lifetime, I worked at the University of Arkansas at Monticello as a Student Recruitment Specialist. In this position I helped the Admissions department with applications, and assisted students with finding the right school, and program, for themselves.
Presently, I am enjoying being out on my own in the world and working on my carrier! I love to spend time with my family when outside of work. I have two older siblings, a brother and a sister. My sister is also a teacher (math) and lives in South Arkansas with her husband and three boys. My older brother is a tattoo artist in Northwest Arkansas and lives here with his wife, daughter, and son.
My mother actually works at Huntsville High School with me! She teaches Spanish 1, Cricital Reading, and Strategic Reading.
Just a bit about me…
I am an avid reader. My friends, family, and students can attest to my love of reading!
I also love to travel! So far, I have been to England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Spain, and Italy; as well as most of the states!
