I am very thankful to be on year four as principal of Huntsville High School. Our students are top notch, and I would not trade them for any other group of students.

I would like to tell you a bit about me.  My husband, Mike, and I live in Bella Vista, AR (Yes, I drive back and forth 1 hour and 15 mins one way because I want to be in Huntsville).  Between the two of us, we have four children.   We have one grand-daughter, Piper, and she is the coolest little kid around.

I graduated from Berryville High School many years ago.  I did not go to college until I was around the age of 29, so I got a late start  thine education field.  I swore I would never be a teacher even though my high school English teacher thought I was fit to be an English teacher.  I said some not very nice things to her when she made the prophetic comment.  I reget those remarks to this day.

I received a Bachelors of Science in elementary education from Arkansas Tech in 2008.  After doing my student teaching in third grade, and teaching a semester of elementary physical education, I decided that little kids are great, but I prefered big kids much better.  I was hired in 2008 on an alternative licensure plan at Green Forest, AR to teach 9th and 10th grade English.  I completed that requirement through the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 2011 having spent every summer driving back and forth to UofA from my home in Berryville.  In Fall 2012, I was hired by Pea Ridge School District to teach English.  Between the two schools, I have taught: 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade English as well as Advanced Placement Language and Composition, and Advanced Placement Literature.

In the summer of 2016, I was hired by Huntsville School District as principal of the high school.

I completed a masters of educational leadership through Arkansas State University and an educational specialist degree through ASU as well which gave me a license in building level principal and district leadership (superintendent).

You may reach me at the school’s number: 479-738-2500 or by email at
